Charles Otto Puth Jr. 1991.12.2出生於美國新澤西州，是個射手寶寶，專輯封面可以看到CP有個特徵─右邊的眉毛有道疤痕，據他自己說是幼時頭部受嚴重創傷留下的，真心覺得這使他的辨識度大增，不然我個人是分不清外國人的長相的；2016.1.29發行個人首張專輯Nine Track Mind前已聲名大噪，多首單曲皆盤據各告示榜冠軍數週，都是看到歌名你腦海就會響起副歌的那種，2015年憑藉與Meghan Trainor合作的首張單曲“Marvin Gaye”迅速成名，在此之前他的作品都是在youtube頻道上發表，能歌能編曲作詞也是自己的專輯製作人，同年又與美國饒舌歌手Wiz Khalif合作，演唱紅遍全球的電影「玩命關頭7」中紀念Paul Walker的片尾曲“See You Again”。CP這張專輯較紅的歌我都不太愛，不過今天這首與Selena Gomez 合作的We Don't Talk Anymore編曲跟歌詞都有得我心，此曲也獲美國FOX電視公司2016年青少年票選最佳分手歌曲提名，同時被提名的還有
